A boundary-pushing lyricist and performer, Zoka turns inner monologues into expansive, genre-blurring records. Using sharp, poetic writing to explore race, relationships and mental health, Zoka writes with a kind of honesty that doesn’t always feel comfortable, but always feels necessary. He calls it “iceberg music”; songs that hit on first listen, but reveal new layers under the surface when you come back to them.

Since 2020, he’s been steadily building momentum as one of the UK’s most compelling underground voices. His single “ELEPHANT” featuring JyellowL landed on Spotify’s New Music Friday and the Glastonbury Emerging Artist Competition Longlist. His work has drawn coverage from Wonderland, EARMILK, Link Up TV, and radio support from BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC Radio 2 and KISS FM.

Backed by his band, his shows are immersive and unpredictable, moving from high-energy, full-room moments to pin-drop silence. He’s performed at venues including The Jazz Cafe, The Southbank Centre, & O2 Academy Islington, and shared stages with acts like ENNY, OMA and Steam Down. His festival appearances include Love Supreme, Brick Lane Jazz Festival and Montreux Jazz Festival as part of London-based collective, The Five Points Project.
