THE YAZ BAND are a London-based indie-pop/rock duo, one from Canada and one from India, who found each other and, somewhere in the middle, found their sound. Drawn to the same thread running through Coldplay, Spacey Jane and Royel Otis, they make music that sits in that tender space between feeling too much and finding a reason to keep going.
Since forming in London in 2021, they've released six singles and built a following around something harder to manufacture than streams: a genuine sense of community. Their live shows have the same quality as their records, warm, unguarded, and quietly defiant in their optimism. People come back because the music makes them feel less alone in the parts of themselves they'd mostly stopped listening to.
At the heart of everything THE YAZ BAND do is a single conviction: that the voice you've been ignoring, the one that still believes in things, still wants to play, still looks for silver linings, is the one most worth hearing. Their lyrics are honest about the weight of modern life, but they never stay there. Every song is built to carry you somewhere brighter.
Their debut EP is the fullest realisation of that vision yet, bigger, bolder, and more certain of who they are than anything they've put out before. This is THE YAZ BAND at the beginning of something.
