Luna Morgenstern

Pop

FOR FANS OF: Caroline Polachek, Oklou, Imogen Heap

Luna Morgenstern is “the kind of talent that can captivate with a single syllable” (Wonderland Magazine). Based in Berlin, she writes and produces music that sits between club euphoria and emotional intimacy. Her songs are personal but physical, built on precise, self-produced arrangements drawing from late ’90s rave, early ’00s club music and left-field pop. Her 2023 EP Dance Dance (Don’t Go) marked a turning point, earning support from The Face, The Independent, Clash and Dork and helping establish Luna as both a recording and live artist. She followed it with heartbreak hotel, a six-track project structured like a building you move through, each room capturing a different stage of a relationship ending.

Her 2026 EP Château Brute picked up in the aftermath. Written in Berlin, it moves beyond collapse and into what comes next: when sadness gives way to something more impulsive, reckless and alive. Across tracks like Kids, a quiet and unsentimental goodbye, and Château Brute featuring girl_irl, which confronts ideas of expiration, desirability and identity, Luna documents a period of change without forcing it into a neat resolution.

That evolution now leads into her debut album, when you leave don't make me watch. Moving away from the maximalist production of her recent work, Luna is returning to her roots in story-driven folk and experimental electronic music, drawing on trip-hop, garage and the artists she grew up with to create more space for her voice and songwriting. The record explores ambition, intimacy, independence and motherhood, and the uneasy realisation that every meaningful choice carries a price.
