South London singer-songwriter Bea Maher blends soul, jazz and funk into a timeless yet contemporary sound. Inspired by storytellers like Amy Winehouse and Lianne La Havas, alongside the groove-driven musicianship of Nile Rodgers, her music pairs soulful melodies and jazzy undertones with honest, emotionally rich songwriting.

A graduate of BIMM Brighton, Bea has built a reputation for captivating live performances, whether playing solo with her guitar or backed by a full band. Her debut EP Can’t Love (2024) marked a strong arrival, landing on major playlists including Fresh Finds UK, New Music Friday and Fresh Finds Jazz, and appearing on the cover of Fresh Finds UK. Line of Best Fit praised the title track as “contemplative and straight from the soul.”

Last year she supported Rizzle Kicks on their comeback tour, performing at O2 Ritz Manchester, O2 Institute Birmingham, O2 Forum Kentish Town and Brighton Dome, as well as supporting Dan Whitlam at O2 Institute Birmingham. Across the year she played 33 shows, including a headline at Hootananny Brixton, and released her groovy single Sadie.

2026 has already seen Bea sell out Folklore Hoxton and release her latest single Sleepless Nights, championed by Jazz FM’s Tony Minvielle as Track of the Week and played on BBC Radio 2 on Angela Griffin’s Unwinds. She’s also had headline shows at Old Queen’s Head and PizzaExpress Live. With a new EP, produced by award winning Gavin Monaghan in the works to be released early next year, Bea Maher is one to watch.
